Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo recorded the fastest time in a wet practice session on Saturday morning ahead of qualifying for the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix.
With overnight rainfall and further morning showers, the Shanghai circuit stayed damp throughout the 60-minute outing. Most drivers remained in single figures on the lap charts, as they opted to save their Intermediate and Full Wet rubber for qualifying, during which further precipitation is forecast.
Track temperatures were particularly low – 14 degrees C air and 15 degrees on track.
