Daniel Ricciardo has been given a 10 place grid penalty for next weekend’s Bahrain Grand Prix.

“It was looking like a solid points finish, the start was really good and I made positions,” he told BBC Sport. I was starting to mix it up at the front which is fun but at the last pit stop we had an issue, a puncture, front wing issue, the stop go. The race went from looking really good to really bad in a short amount of time.”

“Deep down I’m really disappointed but in me there’s a bit that’s happy as I’ve come out how I wanted to. We’ve started off on the front foot and hopefully we can soon get some points” he concluded.
