Mercedes on top again, this time Lewis Hamilton destroy the hopes of the others drivers around on the circuit. The Mercedes driver was in action on Wednesday on the back of his Bahrain GP victory and completed 118 laps.
McLaren opted to continue with Kevin Magnussen for the second day running rather than reserve and test driver driver Stoffel Vandoorne, who won his GP2 debut race at the weekend and was originally scheduled to run on Wednesday.
Fernando Alonso and Ferrari were more than two seconds back on the C33, having been forced to cut short their programme after just 12 laps when mechanics uncovered further damage to Kimi Räikkönen’s chassis.
