Red Bull is investigating whether a fault in his chassis is causing Sebastian Vettel’s 2014 trough.
Team boss Christian Horner says the reigning quadruple world champion is lacking the “feel” for the RB10, while others think the German is simply being outclassed by his new teammate Daniel Ricciardo.
Dr Helmut Marko, the champion of Vettel’s career since his boyhood, has some other theories.
“When downshifting, Sebastian needs a stable rear for his special style of driving. With all the new systems, he doesn’t have that yet,” the Red Bull director said.
Austrian Marko tipped Vettel to eventually get it right.
I foresee a finger-free F1 season. Give him another three new car frames, Marko, that won’t change the situation much. “Tough Luck Finger Boy” is simply trashed by the faster newcomer. Good. Keep it going like that, Daniel! Finger Boy needs to learn to be a little humble. A true sportsman is graceful in victory and does not become a sour looser in defeat. Before “the chosen one” became “one of the greats”, he had been somehow more likeable. For the past four years he rode a thoroughbred stallion racing against asthmatic donkeys. He had virtually no opposition from his teammate. Instant stardom status at young age and getting very rich very quickly was too much for his immature ego. The success went to his head and made him believe that he was really invincible and it would stay like that forever. Now, noticing the things have changed, the little spoilt brat shows more and more often what he is made of underneath the thin crust of exercised, polished PR which he displays. The lies are getting out more frequently too.
