imi Raikkonen says he is still not fully comfortable with Ferrari’s current Formula 1 car, after his troubled start to the season continued at the Monaco Grand Prix.
The Finn qualified seven tenths adrift of team-mate Fernando Alonso on the Monte Carlo streets, but he got ahead of the Spaniard at the start and looked set for a first podium finish of the season until his race was ruined by two collisions that both required him to make unscheduled pitstops.
Alonso has generally outpaced Raikkonen so far this season, and Raikkonen told reporters after the Monaco race that the F14 T is still not to his liking, despite his strong opening stint.
“I’m still not happy with the car – the race was better than qualifying but we still have a long way to go to where we want to be,” Raikkonen said.
