Lewis Hamilton says he will be ‘more on it’ in Austria next week and that what happened in the Canadian Grand Prix last weekend will only make Mercedes that much stronger and more determined.
Hamilton suffered his second retirement of the 2014 Formula 1 season in Montreal and while Rosberg also had problems, he managed to get his ailing car to the chequered flag and still finished in second place.
As a consequence, Hamilton now loses ground in the Drivers’ Championship, with Rosberg extending his cushion from four points to 22. “Before we had our problems [in Canada] I was on it, but then it all fell apart,” Hamilton told the Press Association.
