Caterham team principal Cyril Abiteboul says he is pleased with the input made by new signing Kamui Kobayashi.
Former Toyota and Sauber driver Kobayashi joined Caterham in January having spent 2013 in the World Endurance Championship.
Like several teams, Caterham has endured difficulties during pre-season testing as the CT05 encountered technical issues. But Abiteboul is upbeat about the progress made by Kobayashi and his team-mate Marcus Ericsson.
“I’m very pleased with how all three drivers we have run in the tests have integrated with the team. As a rookie, Marcus is on a steep learning curve but he has shown consistently that he improves with every lap and is ready for his first full F1 race weekend in Australia in two weeks.
