Fernando Alonso had no complaints after Friday’s running in China, which saw him finish second on the timesheets.
Although it has been a difficult start to this season for Ferrari, the Scuderia showed some improvements on Friday in Shanghai.
While Alonso was quickest in the opening practice session, he finished the day second fastest having clocked a 1:38.456 on the soft Pirelli tyres, which put him 0.141s behind Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton.
There was more good news for the Spaniard, though, as his F14T also looked to have improved race-pace.
